What
is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy helps children understand muddled feelings and upsetting events which have not been processed properly. Unlike adult therapy, which involves verbally explaining their troubles, children use play to communicate at their own level and pace.
When
can Play Therapist help?
Problem behaviours at school or home
Anger or angressive behaviour
Family issues such as divorce, separation, grief
Domestic violence, abuse, neglect
Anxiety, depression
Eating and toileting issues
ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder
What
can be achieved?
Play Therapist helps children in a variety of ways. Children receive emotional support and can learn to understand more about their own feelings and thoughts. Children may learn to manage relationships and conflicts in more appropriate ways. This results in reduction in anxiety, and positive change in behaviours such as raised self-esteem.

My services
Individual/Group Play Therapy
Play is the natural media of self-expression for children. I offer 1 to 1 play therapy sessions, these give opportunities to children to play out accumulated feelings of tension, frustration, insecurity, aggression, fear, and confusion. This results in a happier and healthier child.
Parent-Child Filial Coaching
Filial Play Coaching and Mentoring empowers parents/carers to become the agent of change in their children's behaviour. I will work directly with the parent/carers to enable them to conduct special non-directive play sessions with their child to strengthen the parent/carer-child relationship.
Testimonials
Listen to what my clients say
We are so grateful to you and all your hard work. Thank you for being a safe place for our son to work through his challenges - we are so lucky to have had the pleasure of having you in our lives. We would highly recommend you to anyone having challenges with their children and there is nothing we would change about our experience.
My son is literally thriving since having started play therapy with Tajwar and it really is a joy to behold. He is calmer, less angry, and more confident. He is a much happier child.
I can't believe he is the same child. My son is much happier now.
The children enjoyed the planned activities, engaged well, had fun, and all expressed an improvement in their wellbeing/ability to discuss issues / manage their anxieties. All communication with Tajwar was friendly and professional and we enjoyed having her in our school.
